The Geomorfology, Applied Geology, Informatic Cartography Group (GGACI) of the Department of Geological, Environmental and Marine Sciences (DISGAM_UniTs) - University of Trieste - includes the study of information methods for the pubblication of territorial data in its areas of research. For this reason in collaboration with the Commissione Grotte Eugenio Boegan (CGEB) of Società Alpina delle Giulie (SAG_CAI) and the Centro Ricerche Carsiche del Museo Speleologico di Borgo Grotta Gigante, GGACI created this web site.

This web portal was created with the use of MySQL, PHP, XML, JavaScript and HTML. The Google Map API has been used regarding the location of the caves and the geographic data searches.
